Yep, sometimes you have to resort to that. Sometimes you don't. I took Norton off my mom's new computer a couple of weeks ago, though, and it came right out, no quibbles, with the "Uninstall Norton" icon they plopped into the folder with the rest of the Norton stuff during install. That could be because it's a new computer and we hadn't installed any new drivers or anything yet.
