As you all know, the submission period ended last weekend. We had an enthusiastic response and have a strong collection of images to work with. The editorial team has spent the past week selecting the images that will appear in the book and with that job done, only has to consider the order and, more critically, the pairings of images to appear next to each other.
I have much of the book layout and design done. I completed the agonizing search for fonts a few weeks ago - only to discover later that, though the main font had bold, italic and italic-bold options, but *didn't* have sufficient foreign language characters (the Øksne's and Kneevic-Strika's of the world proved problematic). I ended up using font design software to make the appropriate characters and insert them into the main character set. The fabulous Quotations List is done and laid out and all the section divider pages are done and I've got a short write-up about the 2010 Chicago exhibit with a few accompanying photographs. We're on schedule to have the book design finished by the end of the month and are optimistic about a mid-April delivery of the finished product. -- Mark Roberts - Photography & Multimedia www.robertstech.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
