I don't remember the polish name for the soup but while I lived for a while
in Wyandotte, MI I had what was called ducks blood soup. It actually tasted
pretty good, well minus that it had I think raisins in it.

You can get paczkis at any of the Polish bakeries in Hamtramck. One of the
best known is the New Palace Bakery, 9833 Joseph Campau St,  Hamtramck, MI
48212 (313) 875-1334. Other bakeries and food stores in the metro area sell
paczkis on paczki day, some importing them from Hamtramck, but you can
always get then at New Palace. Hamtramck is a suburb that is surrounded by
Detroit. It's easy to get to in that it's just a short distance from
Interstate 75.
