I give up. Macro of 3D objects with the P67 SUCKS. The depth of field is so damn shallow that its nearly impossible to shoot small objects with any depth.
Heres a shot using the 135mm F4 SMCT. I used the smallest possible aperture ( F32), #3 extension tube, full power flash and TMAX 400 film: http://www.gate.net/~hifisapi/p67truck.jpg I focused on the hood an thats about all that came out tack sharp even using F32! The truck bed and rear tire is way out of focus. Even the drivers side headlight is not as sharp as the passenger side headlight (its hard to tell that in the scan though) I think I'll stick with 35mm or digital from now on with my HO slotcars. I could see where it might be nice to make P67 dupes from 35mm slides or any other FLAT objects but other than that its just a waste of time. JCO - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
