I've got so few pictures on the K-5 it's really hard to make a valid comparison, but it seems that there are more stops improvement at ISO 1600 than at ISO 12,800. I.e. 12,800 seems like 6,400 on the K-x, but 1,600 seems like maybe 400 on the K-x.
