I completely agree with Jack, here. There was a certain gauziness about the first shot that really complemented it, people notwithstanding.

The more recent shot is lovely, though, and would definitely benefit from being taken on its own terms rather than in comparison to the original.

I used the perspective tool to straighten the verticals of
the window frames... shot at 1600 f5.6  1/750.

Those windows are painted with gilt.  I like this one
better than the first one I showed you all... not so sad.
