Went over to the local Staples store just now and picked up an acomdata case for the drive. it takes PATA or SATA so i picked it up. It works, i found the missing files i forgot to copy over to my other external hard drives so i'm good. Saves some extra scanning down the road. $34.99 which was the cheaper of the two.
