In the 'Japan' thread, Rob mentioned a method of copying Lat/Long coordinates from Google Earth to the Windows clipboard. As the suggested method didn't work in the version of Google Earth I was running, I decided to upgrade.
Not only did the upgrade also include the Chrome browser (even though I didn't want it and wasn't given the option to not install it), the installation made Chrome my default browser without asking. Not happy Google!
