The install also added a Chrome shortcut to my Quick Launch toolbar - again without asking. If this Wikipedia article is to be believed, Chrome is rapidly gaining on both Firefox and IE in web usage share. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage_share_of_web_browsers Perhaps, Google's download/install methods have something to do with it.
