Well, this is embarrassing.  It's egg on face time downunder....

I knew I wasn't offered the option to not include Chrome yesterday so I
thought I'd check again to see whether I was imaging things.

Well, it looks as if I was, because this page offers the option of
unchecking a box that includes the Chrome part of the download and
another to make Chrome the default browser:

http://www.google.com/earth/download/ge/agree.html


It looks as if I blindly accepted the user agreement without unchecking
those boxes.

My apologies to Google.....

but I still think it should be opt in rather than opt out  :-(>
