The thing is, anything viewed in real time (eg shot at 30 fps and then viewed at 30 fps) will appear 'normal'. The only benefit to shooting at a much higher frame rate (with accordingly a much higher shutter speed) is to then be able to view at the normal frame rate (eg shot at 60fps, viewed at 30 fps) and see the detail in the slow motion. Unless I'm filming specifically for slow motion, I always shoot at standard shutter speed and (UK PAL) standard speed (50i) and so if you froze one frame to look at a car going past the camera, you will see a blurry car - but this gives a much better impression of movement. Ever watch video of helicopter blades that look like spider's legs whizzing about? Looks dreadful. -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ---------- http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
