The older model for the 23C is aluminum, but it's more than 50% heavier than the new models, and the aluminum is thicker. It's also designed a little differently, feels smoother to the touch, and doesn't have the awful spring-loaded hinge that the newer carrier has, making it easier for me to load. I have the older model, which came with the condenser 23CII, but the previous owner filed it out to make it a full-frame carrier, and did a rather poor job of it. What I want is an older style, standard 35mm carrier, model 8053. Thanks for keeping an eye out.
