My mother was still living in Chicago when They built Marina city... She wanted to move there... but she ended up moving to Houston to be around brothers and sisters... I don't think she could have afforded Marina City , but even if she had been able to the apartments were grabbed rather quickly as I recall.
I like the shot - but I don't like the architecture

Thanks, Paul. You're correct on all counts. You can live in a pie-shaped
apartment with a nice view, have a car parked on one of the garage levels,
=and= have your yacht docked in the marina on the lowest level of the building.
Thanks to the crummy economy, the apartment will set you back a mere $250K or
so for 1 bedroom.

Excellent. A nice composition, well
rendered. The mix of elements appears exactly right to my
eye. Well done.
I suspect that the circular building is the parking garage
at Marina City. The upper floors of the twin round towers
are residential. The building was an considered an
architectural triumph when it was built in the early
sixties. The apartments were all pie shaped.
