That was great.  I had a basement darkroom when I was 15 and the in
the back room of my Dad's barber shop when I was in college.  There is
a certain joy to making prints.  In our new art building, there are
two 8 person darkrooms, and the film photo/printmaking classes always
fill early. Maybe printmaking has finally been recognized as the true
art form it always was.
