For the same reason people think m43 is too big (at least in current
incarnations).
But, as you point it out, it brings problems inherent to sensor size
(noise and DOF).
It may get a market though. I know I wish my LX3 could change lens.
Even with its small sensor (bigger than the 1/2.33 chosen for NC-1 though).

As long as Pentax does indeed introduce a second system with APS
sensor I don't care much except that this NC-1 is.. UGLY.
