According to the list I have the 90 2.8 SMCT is leaf shutter only.
It has the same coatings as the SMCP. You only have to decide whether
you want the leaf shutter version or not. The leaf shutter version
costs a little more but is less reliable and Pentax wont fix it anymore.
I have the leaf shutter version and its a top notch lens...

I feel just the opposite. I like the feel of the SMCT lenses
better than the SMCPs. The SMCPs are just like the 35mm "k" 
series, not as well made as the SMCT lenses were IMHO.

I have both the 200 and 300 in SMCT versions and there both VERY
sharp.  There is a problem with the 200mm SMCT in that
it doesnt focus enuff for a tight head shot, the SMCP version
focuses closer...

I cant comment on color aberrations as I've only used
them for B&W.
