*aaarrrrrgh!*  I shouldn't be posting.  That's the mirror lockup release 
and reset button, not the shutter release.  You only need this if a 
battery runs out mid-exposure.

The shutter release is the feeping obvious thing on the top of the camera.

If you've ever used a manual camera (or even an MZ style camera, a P6x7 
will be blindingly obvious.
