Thanks.  As you can see in the photos at the end of the set, it's a freeway 
underpass that has been strung with colored lights (or lights of color for the 
politically correct).  While I started out shooting at about 1 second, I found 
out that it worked best to just put the camera on bulb and while I rotated the 
camera clockwise during the exposure, I rotated the zoom ring on the 16-50 
counter clockwise.
