I would recommend couple of possibilities to streamline this process 1. You can save as a PDF from the Photoshop. It is not the best PDF, and it is usually rather large in size, but it might be better than do an intermediate step.
2. Consider a free PDF "printer" software. I use "doPDF": http://www.dopdf.com/ . It installs as a printer, to which you can print from _any_ software, - and it creates a usable PDF.
