Fascinating. Of course, it might never see production. I've seen cases in which a manufacturer "accidentally" showed photos of an exciting product never intended for production. It draws attention and generates buzz. I wonder how much of a market there might be for a 300/2.8 for a mirrorless system. I'd guess not much at the moment (unless it were also compatible with an SLR system) but possibly in the future.
