Another strange thing happened with the "almost new" LX. Thursday evening I
put in a pair of new batteries (Duracell 1.5V Silver Oxide), I shot 1
(one!) roll of film to test it and on Saturday morning the camera was dead!
After 36 hours and 1 roll of film. I put in a new pair of batteries and it
worked again. I really don't understand how this could happen. The LX
doesn't seem to have any switch-off button as far as I can see.
Either the batteries I bought were not fresh at all or there is something
terribly wrong with the electronics of the camera.
I can add that I was using an old electronic flash (Braun Hobby 260 BC) and
I had it mounted on the camera and connected to the X-sync-contact over
night. Could that have been the reason for the battery exaustion?
