I don't understand how this makes flickr a "bad place". I look all over the place for inspiration too, and use temporary images when brainstorming or storyboarding which I then go out and shoot to suit my own creative bent every so often. Flickr has a bazillion amateur photos on it, what better place to find things that are "like what you might want" for brainstorming?
