In the US, the two dominant technologies for home Internet service are DSL and cable modems. DSL operates over the telephone wires, and so is often provided by the telephone company. Cable modems operate over the wiring for cable television, and so that service is normally provided through the cable television provider. If Mark's getting a cable modem, it wouldn't have anything to do with his telephone wiring or service. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
