Well gang, I just got back from Hawaii yesterday. I was chaperoning a children's choir (including my daughter). I took a 35mm system and my new 67 stuff.
Just a quick report. I mostly only carried one system or the other. It turns out that the 67II with 55, 90 & 165 was a little lighter than the MZ-S/grip + Tokina 20-35/2.8, 28-70/2.8 & 80-200/2.8. Granted, the 35mm had a better range covered, but the 67 was not as heavy as I expected it to be. It made the hike to the top of Diamond Head crater on Oahu without any trouble. The usage was as follows: 67 - scenics, group shots, anything except quick grab shots 35 - quick grab shots, when 67 didn't have the right focal lengths. I ended up shooting a few more rolls of 120 film than I did of 35mm. In a nutshell, the 67 got plenty of use and the 35mm was not used as much as I had originally thought. If anyone has any questions about my experience with these two systems and their comparisons, feel free to ask. Good to get back to 1600 email messages.
