Wow! Congratulations. The 28-105 i by all accounts an excellent lens -- a good
walkaround focal length --and I believe the 39.2.8 is both somewhat rare and
desirable. If that 50/1.4 is truly an FA it should autofocus with your D.
Maybe you just need to smack at around a bit and let it know who's boss:-).
