I've been trying for over a year to get one of these little fellows, and yesterday is my best try yet. Not quite as sharp as I might like (he moved his head just as I shot), I'm still pleased with this one.
Their bodies are only about 2 to 3 inches, so with a 200mm I have to get quite close. They seem to know just when I'm "in my range", and wait just until I get my monopod planted to fly away. Anyway, here it is, taken yesterday down by Lake Ontario: http://knarfdummyblog.blogspot.com/2011/08/finally-american-goldfinch.html Hope you enjoy. Comments welcome. cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
