You might remember I asked for recommendations for a friend for a camera and lens with which to take band pictures. He ultimately took the most common suggestion which was the K5 and the DA* 16-50 2.8. He also grabbed a Manfrotto monopod and the DA 50-200. He took his first band shots last week, came home and looked at them on his 55 inch HDTV. He was astonished (He'd only used P&S cameras before this) at the sharpness and detail.
