There was an earthquake in Virgina this afternoon that I felt here in Raleigh, NC.

For some reason, my house just started shaking around 1:50pm. Seemed to go on for about half a minute, but could have been longer. Strong enough to rattle the windows and make my monitor wobble visibly.

I tried calling the local TV station, but the cell-phone system seems to be down right now.

All my calls show "calling" and then just seem to time out. I've noticed that I have voice mail & can't call that either, same thing happens. May just be overwhelmed.
