Hmmm - well, I suppose if it was the only motel in town....
Shows the grungy side of life well.
Struck me more as a "seen better days before we were by-passed by the
Interstate" kind of motel.
It was probably first rate back when Route 66 was still the primary
highway out to California [I realize this isn't actually on the way to
California], but modern highways took travelers by a different route and
the owners couldn't compete with the big chains.
