Which is not so much of event in itself, really. But I felt I needed new
glasses. My optometrist brought me the "good" news that now I have to wear
multi-focalss and off I went to pick up new frame and lenses.
You're precocious. I didn't need to go there until I was almost 50.
at 50, i'm starting to need bifocals; have gotten by for about three years with
1.25x "readers"; dark vision suffers too because when the aperture opens the
decreased focus range means dark scenes tend to be out of focus
