Just sayin'.
Well, hows this. Based on Pentax's recent behavior the K3 will be
announced either in May or October of 2012, to be released just after
Christmas of that year, (so as to miss the major gift giving season in
all the major markets). It will have the new Sony 24mp sensor which
Pentax will manage to eek just a bit more performance out of at high ISO
than Sony can actually do. The camera body will be redesigned just
enough so that it's annoying to switch between it and the K-5/7, if you
decide to keep one as a second body.
The rumored second mirrorless system will be announced next month, (once
again to be released just after Christmas...), and will make no one
happy as it will have a new propitiatory lens mount called the J mount,
which will be electrically incompatible with the Ka mount.
As you can all see, I have way too much time on my hands today.
