When I had both, I had to carry both of them with me all of the time. There are features on the K20 that the K-x didn't have, and sometimes I needed those features. So, if I needed features, or if the light was so good that image quality didn't matter, I used the K20. If I needed image quality, I used the K-x. With the K-5, I use my K-x when I need to shoot with two bodies, I don't have my K-5 with me (I tend to keep the K-x in the car, with the DA40), or I just need a slightly smaller and lighter camera. So, in short, with a K-5 the K-x is a second body, with the K20, the K20 is the second body. There are a couple of features, like waterproofing (another case when I'd use the K20) and an external shutter release jack that the K20 has which the K-r doesn't, but I'd probably pick up a K-r rather than a K-20. Note that the image quality of the K20 isn't bad, and in good light, it's pretty good but it took some practice to be able to match the low light perfprmance of the K100 with it. > > Sincerely, > > Collin Brendemuehl > "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose" > -- Jim Elliott > > > > > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
