Without a doubt! There may well come a time, certainly within the life of our lenses, when the tables will have turned and the detail, shadow or otherwise, will be recorded by the chip - depending on lens of course. Using this as a given, then my primary concern regarding the DSLR would change to the speed of the lens. Fast lenses are important to me because I usually use natural light, say one window allowing light into a room, placing the subject in relation to that, with lots of shadow. OTOH one does like to know that one is using the best possible quality that ine can afford. Food for though, thanks Shel.
