I was just looking for a quick & dirty way to process a few raw
files.... I still think there oughtta be a way to apply those
profiles/finishing modes in LR...

Yes, that is what I get out of that, too.  Further, it seems that
Canon & Nikon owners have access to their cameras' image finishing
modes in this panel... if I'm understanding correctly...

I shoot raw, DNGs.  No + Jpegs.  But, yes, I think that is why you & I
have different options in the CC/profile menu... LR recognizes the
differences in the cameras, files, or whathaveyou... just as a canon
owner also gets different options based on the camera model... from
what I understand, that "adobe std" option I have is a profile
particular to the k-5....
