Just a heads-up for anyone interested in trying night photography. Here's a

The content looks pretty good. Author makes a couple of questionable
assertions, but stuff like his suggestions about doing high-ISO quick grabs
(eg 30 secs) to check the histogram prior to doing a 2 hour exposure seem
spot on.

It occurs to me that this will be a lot more difficult with K20D because you can't turn off the long exposure noise reduction. How are you going to get contiguous star trails?

Or has anyone come up with a hack that will allow the K20D's long exposure noise reduction to be turned off?
