But, the shape of that leaf is different, and I suspect the appearance 
of the mushrooms is less attractive.
:-)

A few thoughts:
1. I'd also prefer the view of the mushroom (at least this mushroom)
 from the top.
2. While the focus and bokeh on the second image (29423) is better,
the composition of the first one is more interesting, - as it
includes some other details. 
I'd prefer additional details, as this mushroom is not that attractive
(at least from the bottom).

3. But I am not quite happy with the
placement of the leaf in the 1st one with respect to the frame.
I'd cut-off a bit from the bottom (probably almost close to the object
[a wood piece?] that is almost in focus, or at least midway between the
present bottom edge and that object), and add to the top.
