The issue I have is that it appears there is no option on the Gallery page -
if I want to get to the Gallery, I have to upgrade to Chrome.

just read on and see you are having issues with IE 6 not chrome.
The windows users in the house use Chrome and Opera having both had
issues with firefox and were tired of IE's security problems from ages
ago.
