Check out the category list... my favorite is "Recently added"
Note that the categories in the cautionary prose differ slightly
from the actual checklist.
One good thing.. they added an "unknown" to the list of lenses
for those of us who would like to say..
"Don't remember at all. I had a bunch of lenses with me, and it was
freezing cold and the Yeti just came around the corner, and I was
shooting with film and I didn't have time to take notes,
thankyouverymuch. "
also I don't know how to answer any of the other questions because
I never learned the buzz words for any of these.
Exposure Bias (is this like the film is ISO 64 and I'm shooting at 100?)
Pretty much.
Exposure program: Whatever is in the camera ?
Shutter preferred, aperture preferred, program, manual, there are others
but who cares and who the hell takes notes after a while anyway?
Metering Mode : like Center weighted ?
Yea, my MZ and ZX cameras have Center Weighted, Spot and Pattern.
Scene capture type: huh? Is that something perculiar to digital?
A good number of film cameras from the later days have scene modes. I
ignore them.
ann the dumbfounded
Heck, just make stuff up, how about an LX with a SMC Pentax 300mm f1,8
lens, set to evaluative pattern metering, and hyper program.

Seems like most of that would be captured in the meta-data if you're
shooting digital. You should only have to enter it if you're submitting
film scans.
Plus, I think it would be pretty easy for them to institute a filter to
eliminate the ridiculous.
Well I originally posed the question becuase I was loading a photo I
shot with film... and it wasn't clear whether they really expected
answers in those other fields. The buzz words got to me. Pete's
answer was just what I wanted.
Except for a brief few months in 1996, none of my film cameras had any
sort of fancy programing stuff. The first few things I uploaded with
the new form had it filled in from the EXIF in the istD -
I don't think they really want a lot of stuff uploaded taken with
older cameras, I bet. especially ones they don't make anymore :-).
As some others ahve said, I got an email announcement, too... with a
link.. So that seems to me to be saying we are open for business.
But I couldn't get anything loaded today either. Clearly, there is
something going wrong.
