Well, Len, I really can't speak for all the others, but when one
obtains a rather large hunk of glass and aluminum involving a great
investment of funds (and sometimes a great investment of time, too,
if finding one becomes difficult), and the lens turns out to come in
a different color than one expected, it is an important (even if
perhaps not a significant) issue.  Certainly, the color of the
barrel has no effect on optics or images.  However, it ~is~ a matter
for some of us Pentaxers, and the PDML ~would~ seem to be the proper
place to discuss this (and it certainly is more on-topic than some
of the threads here on the PDML - <g>).

Perhaps.  Between those of us that spend time writing about the
nuances of our lenses, and those of us who spend time commenting on
those who spend time writing about the nuances of our lenses, I'd
say a ~lot~ of us may have too much time on our hands - <g>.  But,
that's why we spend time on the PDML...
