I may as well reply to both of yours at once... On Nov 6, 2011, at 10:25 PM, Cotty wrote:

I missed that. As far as I know this is not the case. It would have been all over the media. I think there were only a couple of people reported missing who haven't been accounted for, and I think they were thought to be in the CTV building. A fire broke out within the wreckage so it's possible that some remains were not identifiable. > Is there any recent article available online that you can recommend that > gives an 'update' of the actual earthquake and subsequent rescue / > rebuilding programme? I'm getting most of my news via stuff.co.nz which is owned by the biggest newspaper group in the country. They don't have a specific section about the quakes anymore, but their "The Press" section will narrow it down as that's the Christchurch paper. The Star might be worth keeping an eye on, they're a local community paper. http://www.starcanterbury.co.nz/ TVNZ has a section on their website: http://tvnz.co.nz/christchurch-earthquake Or their competitors, 3 News: http://www.3news.co.nz/National/ChristchurchEarthquake.aspx The CERA site (cera.govt.nz) doesn't seem to have much in the way of news. Otherwise just search Google News for "christchurch earthquake". To be honest there's not a lot of news now as we're entering a very slow phase of reconstruction. As dangerous buildings are removed, parts of the CBD will be progressively reopened. Specific buildings are going to generate a bit of news from time to time - the Anglican Cathedral being the major one.
