The "rule" I was thinking of is to never put the horizon line in the
middle. I agree with Brian that the little structure is what makes the
whole thing "pop". I would even suggest that together with the two
background peaks it forms a nice little triangle in the composition.
Steve noticed the color break, which I enhanced in post.

Darren - woo - your son-in-law is very talented - liked all the stuff in that set the "outhouse" photo is in.. quite a different look to that scene
wondering how much equipment color balancing contributed.  I like the
outhouse placement in the frame a bit better... but your sky is a bit more dramatic.
