The Puritans didn't shun much, they were pretty progressive for
religions fanatics, the Shakers might have but usually the threat was
enough and the Taliban will simply kill you.

might not be such a good plan. I've just been mucking about on my android
phone and gmail account and can't find a way to change that setting. It
might be something you have to do on the pc only, and since you're coming
through loud& proud right now it's probably set ok.
