I got a new phone for work. It's an Android with all sorts of bells

I went to the archives and not a single post made it to the list. I
guess just hitting "reply" on my Android isn't enough to send my posts
to a real place.

i don't have an Android, but i do know email, and i'm certain the problem is the default Android email client sends HTML email without recourse; it probably sends a multipart message which includes a plain-text alternative, but that's useless for mailing lists like this; so you'll need to use a different email app to send plain text; maybe someone who does it can recommend one ... if you weren't on Gmail you might also be able to use a webmail approach to send plain text

to resend the old messages, if you use an email client you may be able to go to your Sent Mail mailbox and resend the messages as plain-text; if you use the Gmail web interface i think you'll have to copy and paste each sent message into a new message, then click the Plain Text option before you send (a pain, i agree)
