I missed this the first time, but I know what it feels like, last week or
so my coworker gave me a fabulous price on a Speed Graphic 4x5, and I went
through the same feelings you did. :)

If you go back and find the messages labeled "medium format, large format,
explain?" or something like that, you should find plenty of information on
it.

Best link I found about LF in general is
http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~qtluong/photography/lf which had plenty of
information on it. I recently took it out and did my first shots last
Friday, and am waiting to get them back (Thursday night, can't wait).

Its really fun, and its different. Its nothing like using a 35mm camera,
at all. And people don't know what to make of you. :)
