I think I discovered the reason for the occasional blank images in the voting queue.
I just uploaded 5 images. One of the uploads didn't process, and I had to hit the submit (or upload, I forget the label) button again. I checked my Pending Images folder, to make sure it was there, and it was. Later, another image seemed to be taking too long again, and I hit the submit button again, and then again. When I checked my Pending Images, I saw that there were 7 new entries there, instead of 5. Three had the same name, and 2 of those 3 had no viewable image, even when I clicked on the eye icon. I removed these two blank entries, but it took me two or three tries to do so. I suspect this is the cause of the occasional blank pages we see when voting on images. Someone hit the submit key more than once, and the data got sent into the voting queue two or more times, but only one of the entries had the image included (the first that got through I suppose).
