OMG! The sky is falling! And the referenced blogger apparently doesn't know how
to unsubscribe from Facebook. (I assume he does know the basic rule: if you
don't like the free service you are getting, then stop getting it.) I recall
that people used to have that problem (failing to unsubscribe) at PDML - maybe
Doug could give Facebook lessons on how to fix their problem?

If you're not paying for a product, you're the product. Facebook is
only a little worse than hiding that fact than Google is. Still I don't
use any more of Google's services than I find I have to. You'd think
I'd approve of an openly mercenary organization over one that /pretends/
to be altruistic. But facebook is just so obvious about it that it
makes my skin crawl...
