What do you think? I solved that problem by buying both.... But, you can only buy one. The 90mm LS is a perfectly reliable lens/ shutter system, provided it is used correctly. Use the leaf shutter at the wrong body shutter speed at your own peril. If you will be doing a lot of fill flash, the 90mm LS is the way to go. It is a very good lens. The 105 is also a very good lens, and is a bit faster as well. Had I the choice to buy one or the other, I would buy the 90mm LS. It is a slightly wider field of view, which can be very handy. While short for a frame filling portrait, you can always back off a bit and crop the negative, there is a lot of negative to crop with.
