I think you are right to some extent, but don't get retorical about it.
I heard a talk by a well published view camera photographer.
He lamented how many digital photographers were showing up at his
favorite spots.

But to Darren's point, you need to consider time of day, light, and
season of the year.
The speaker was a botanist and he moved from site to site and state to state
to capture peak wildflower blooms.
