Subject: PESOs: Senorita & Victor
I have a friend who works for a local dog rescue organization. They transport pups out of shelters in the Southern US, to the Northeast, where they place them into adoptive homes. "Matches" are facilitated through sites like petfinder.com. It's like online dating - the photo makes a big difference in how successful a dog can be in finding a home. And the photos that come out of the shelters are often horrible... So, when my friend gets new foster charges in need of a little polish to their online presentation, she calls me. I took these yesterday morning: Senorita: https://picasaweb.google.com/108160491438423750724/December62011?authkey=Gv1sRgCMyJ5fXumtvGSQ#5683010754946985186 Victor: https://picasaweb.google.com/108160491438423750724/December62011?authkey=Gv1sRgCMyJ5fXumtvGSQ#5683010743985734130 This "pet project" has been ongoing for the past couple of years, and I do believe it makes a difference to these dogs - at least, in getting them an initial look. I mention it, since I know that there are a few dog lovers on the list, and dogs everywhere need homes, in case you are inclined to partner with a similar organization in your area. I heard this morning that Senorita's new photo caught the eye of her new family, and she'll be adopted this week. Yay! :) -c
