I take it that it's specially designed for the MZ-D, (or K-1 as it was

What I don't understand is why the optical stabilization would not work with
film DSLRs.
Bah! SLRs, not DSLRs. I hate it when my fingers are two seconds faster than
my brain.

For a second there I was wondering if there was a new digital film available.

It's kind of funny:
This description of Sigma 70-200/2.8 (for Pentax!) says that the lens is
"Optimized for Pentax Full-Frame DSLRs":

Also, I wonder, if there is indeed and optical stabilizer in the Pentax
version. I suspect B&H just copypasted the description from that for
other cameras (CaNikon).

Well, and the description tells that
"Note: This lens is optimized for full-frame Nikon DSLRs and may also be
used with smaller APS-c size sensors but it will increase focal length
to about 100-300mm with most cameras."

If it is optimized for Nikons, it won't perform well on Pentax. Right?
;-)
